The Top Modern Choice for Replacing Teeth

Dental implants are the nation's number one!

Dental implants are screw-like posts inserted into the jawbone, where they fuse with the bone through osseointegration. They function like tooth roots, supporting crownsClick to open this link in this tab or other restorations to replace lost teeth. Implants help maintain jawbone health and offer the strength needed for chewing.

They can benefit anyone missing one or more teeth, provided they have a healthy mouth and sufficient jawbone. Even those with gum disease or bone loss may qualify with prior treatments like bone grafting. Once your oral health is assessed and prepared, implant placement can restore your smile and functionality.

  • Implant Consultation

During the implant consultation, Dr. RonClick to open this link in this tab evaluates your oral health, discusses options, and creates a personalized treatment plan to ensure a successful dental implant procedure.

  • The Surgery

In the surgery, a titanium implant is placed into the jawbone. This typically involves local anesthesia and may require a few hours, depending on complexity.

  • Fusion for Stability

After placement, the implant undergoes osseointegration, where the jawbone gradually fuses with the titanium. This process ensures a stable and durable foundation for the artificial tooth.

  • Restored Tooth

Once fusion is complete, a custom crown is attached to the implant. This restored tooth mimics natural teeth in appearance and function, completing the implant process.

Here is what you need to do after your implant treatment
  • Pain Management: Take prescribed pain medications as directed. Over-the-counter pain relievers may also help if needed
  • Swelling: Apply ice packs to your face for 15-20 minutes every hour to reduce swelling. Keep your head elevated, even while sleeping
  • Diet: Stick to soft foods and avoid hot drinks for the first 24-48 hours. Gradually reintroduce solid foods as you feel comfortable
  • Oral Hygiene: Gently brush your teeth and rinse with a mild saltwater solution. Avoid the surgical site for the first few days to prevent irritation
  • Avoid: Do not smoke or use straws, as these can interfere with healing
  • Activity: Rest and avoid strenuous activities for the first few days. Follow specific instructions regarding exercise from Dr. Ron
  • Follow-Up: Attend all scheduled follow-up appointments to ensure proper healing and address any concerns

Dental Implant FAQs

Making it easy to find the answers you need.
  • HOW LONG DO DENTAL IMPLANTS LAST?

Dental implants last much longer than dentures or bridges. The titanium posts bond with your jawbone and can last for several decades. On average, they last 30 years, and some people enjoy them for life! To keep them in good shape, just brush and floss like you would with natural teeth, eat healthily, and visit your dentist regularly.

  • WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I CAN’T AFFORD DENTAL IMPLANTS?

Dental implants cost more than traditional tooth replacements, but they offer long-term benefits. We can help you manage the cost by checking your dental insurance, which might cover part of the treatment.

We also offer CareCredit, allowing you to pay in monthly installments, sometimes with low or no interest. Contact us to learn more about making dental implants affordable for you!

  • WILL PEOPLE BE ABLE TO TELL THAT I HAVE DENTAL IMPLANTS?

No, people won’t notice your dental implants. They are made to look like your real teeth, and the crowns or dentures placed on the implants match your natural teeth perfectly. The implants are fixed in your jaw, so they won’t move around like dentures sometimes do.

  • DO DENTAL IMPLANTS FEEL NATURAL?

Yes, once the implants are fused with your jawbone, they feel like your real teeth. They are much better than dentures, which can slip and irritate your gums. After getting implants, your new smile should feel so natural that you might even forget they are replacements!

  • WHAT IS THE COST OF A DENTAL IMPLANT?

The cost of dental implants varies based on different factors. During your first visit, we’ll explain the costs and help you understand what to expect. We’ll also work with you to find a payment plan that fits your budget.
